This para-medical facial is excellent for reducing pore size, blackheads and improving sun-damaged & acne scarred complexions.

Microdermabrasion $140
What is it?
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive treatment that removes the dull, dead skin cells from the surface of your skin to reveal younger skin. As a result, the skin becomes more susceptable to topical solutions, making this an ideal treatment to have before more intensive facial treatments. At Bronzalicious Tan|Skin|Body we use the Clairderm machine for superior treatment results.
Which areas can be treated?
All areas of the face and body can be treated.
Is it safe?
When performed by professionals the procedure is completely safe. The clinicians at Bronzalicious Tan|Skin|Body are trained and qualified in microdermabrasion. Note that the procedure is not suitable for people with very dark skins (as they are more prone to hyperpigmentation), those who have used Roaccutane in the 6 months prior, and those people with very oily skin (as it can stimulate oil production).
How does it work?
The machine removes or reduces the stratum corneum (outermost, dead layer of the skin), revealing newer, fresher-looking skin.
What happens during the procedure?
A disposable head on a suction handpiece makes contact with the skin releasing micro-fine crystals onto the skin to blast & deride the dead skin cells, which are then vacuumed away. As this is a para-medical treatment you may feel a little discomfort and your skin may experience slight redness after the treatment.
How long does the procedure take?
30-45 minutes per session, depending on the size of the area being treated.
How long will my recovery be and what can I expect?
Recovery is immediate, though the area may be a little red for a few hours. We use and recommend mineral makeup, which can be applied immediately following the treatment, and will help conceal and heal the skin without blocking pores or affecting the treatment results.
How long will the results last?
The results will last a few weeks, until your skin naturally develops a new stratum corneum. We recommend monthly treatments and daily use of a 30+ sunscreen and good quality skin products to help maintain healthy looking skin for longer. Microdermabrasion gives best results when it is combined with treatments such as IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) skin rejuvenation, Max7 LED Therapy and professional medi-peels and facials.
