- What is it?
- Micro-needling is done with a roller. The roller is filled with a number of tiny needles that penetrate the skin by up to 2mm. This can effectively reduce the appearance of acne scars and wrinkles without brusing or swelling. The small puncture wounds stimulate collagen to be produced by the skin that will fill in the scars, produce new tighter skin resulting in an overall smoother more radiant complexion. Micro Needling has shown fantatsic results in the area of pigmentation resulting in a more even complexion as well.
- Is it safe?
- Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 6-8 weeks until you achieve the desired results.
- How long will the results last?
- The number of treatments required will depend on how each individual responds to the treatments, and the extent of the skin concern being treated. Most clients will require a course of 4 treatments to achieve a significant rejuvenation and noticable result, if scarring or pigmentation is the main skin concern, a course of 8 treatments will more than likely be required. These results are life-time, and designed not to be repeated for at least 10 years after the completion of an 8 micro-needling course.
